California…what a big (and beautiful) place for a small town kid like me. Going to California was quite the experience - especially with the 8THWNDR team. This trip was planned months ago as a way for a few homies to get out of town and relax a bit, but it turned into so much more for the brand.
Just a few days before we left for the trip, we realized this might be a great opportunity to shoot our February lookbook, so what did we do? We packed up a whole separate suitcase full of samples and brought it with us to California - it was only right.
We also managed to hit up Savage Ga$p right before we left, who said he was down to model the lookbook.
When we landed at LAX, I could immediately tell we were in a different place. The weather was beautiful, and there was no snow on the ground like there was back home. I was hype!
The first few days we did some sightseeing, shopping, you know - the usual LA stuff. We had lots of fun. But, then it was time to get to work.
We met up with Savage Ga$p in Little Tokyo - which was this dope little spot in LA, that I never heard of before.
We gave Savage Ga$p the clothes to model & shot some dope photos for our lookbook. It was a great experience as an intern, because I was able to be involved in a professional photoshoot with a popular rapper. I was stoked to be a part of this.
Side note: some of my favorite pieces from this drop are definitely the knit sweaters and the radio tee. I had seen them on digital mockups before, but this was the first time I saw them in person and they looked so sick. I’m sure you will love them too.
After we finished shooting, we were hungry so Savage Ga$p put us on to one of his favorite ramen spots in Little Tokyo. Ayyo let me tell you though - this stuff was slappin. Shoutout to Ga$p for the plug on Teishokuya Ramen! If you’re in the area I highly recommend it.
So uh…that kinda wraps this up. We had a hell of a time in Cali and I personally can’t wait to go back, but more importantly I’m stoked on this February drop and hope you all are too! As always if you have any questions about stuff, just DM us or reach out via email. We are always here for you.
